I am a Glasgow-based writer with credits across film, TV, audio drama and theatre.

I write fun, exciting stories with deep characters and a progressive heart. I’m queer, neuro-divergent, working class, mixed race. I am passionate about representation, and use my personal background to write diverse characters from a position of thoughtfulness and experience.

I write drama, comedy, dramedy, light drama. I think the best drama has you in stitches and the best comedy can break your heart.

In the last two years, I’ve written four full length feature films for Reel One (check out the most recent on Freevee), and three episodes of a multi-award winning dramedy podcast for Rusty Quill.

Before that, I was on maternity leave with my amazing daughter.

The year before that, the late Kay Mellor chose me as her protege for the first HETV Writers’ Bursary Scheme - in which eight A list screenwriters each pick an emerging writer to mentor. The same year, I was selected as one of BBC Writersroom’s first Scottish Voices, and my BBC Three monologue, Gloss, was nominated for a Broadcast Digital Award.

Right now, I’m working on two very exciting new commissions, but I’m not allowed to tell you about them yet.
